Feeling the need to do a little extra to promote public charity for fallen public safety officials, a group of Rangers from the City of St. Charles decided to respond to the need by creating an annual washers tournament that will benefit such organizations as BackStoppers. Washers For Public Safety is a 501(c)(3) corporation / a not-for-profit charity organization.

Most can only imagine how hard it must be after losing a loved one who has given their life in the line of duty. For this reason Washers for Publice Safety holds an annual washers tournament to raise needed funds for BackStoppers. BackStoppers was chosen due to their years of dedicated service to the families of fallen public safety officials.

Started in 1959, The BackStoppers provides needed support and financial assistance to the spouses and children of all local and county police officers, firefighters, publicly-funded paramedics and EMTs and volunteer fire protection units, who have lost their lives performing their duty. Deaths from natural causes, illnesses or injuries are outside the organization's scope.
